Personality: Ogata is generally light-hearted and gregarious, making jokes at his own expense and giving a mirthful laugh about it afterwards. In his interactions with others, he liked to pretend to be smug or selfish, upsetting them so that he could further rile them up with his humor. Even when entering combat he will not miss an opportunity to be flashy and over-the-top, striking kabuki poses and giving dramatic self-introductions; and he is quick to anger when these introductions are interrupted. One might describe Ogata as something of a "Eccentric trouble-maker." Despite his self deprecation, one of Ogata's defining features is his indomitable spirit and drive to never give up. He feels he must push forwards despite any failures he might encounter, as that is his ultimate Shinobi Way.

One of his defining beliefs is that the truest essence of the shinobi was one who endured and fought on no matter what they faced, regardless of inborn talent or genius. Ogata yearns for a world of peace and prosperity, something he aspires to attain within his own life-time if he can. Ogata also possesses something of a soft-spot for younger members of the village, frequently helping them to train or even teaching them whenever he can, he even hopes to lead a few squads of his own someday. Ogata has a very child-like heart and will never miss an opportunity to crack a joke, but hopes that his defining characteristic can be perseverance in spite of all the other aspects of his quirky character.
