Despite all this (and much to many people's confusion) Chun is a doctor and healer that works closely with Jinno as a member of the Red Cloaks and leads their medics. Despite his attitude, Chun holds a deep grudge against the Shogun's regime and her enforcers/guards, the Shinsengumi. Specifically, the Shogun's twin brother killed his wife and young child when testing out a new sword his sister bought him. Though he doesn't consider himself a particularly skilled fighter, if pressed he'd say he can hold his own.
