Personality: Zankoku is the Jingoist leader of the Dust Village who fashions himself as a patriotic leader who'd give anything for those who pledge themselves to the village, for if you give unto the village the village shall give unto you. He is an extremely social and charming creature, often being caught touring the village and academies to keep an eye on the quality of teaching as well as offering help to the younger generation although those closest to him realize how much a mask the charm tends to be.

Hints of his true nature pop up here and there to those paying attention: A fervent speech to flame up the fire of patriotism in his people, a focus on higher quality ninja academies with refined and closely monitored curriculum, the commissioning of new testing grounds for experimental weapons and jutsu. Although nothing has been declared outright, Zankoku was clearly building up military forces, slowly introducing increasing rhetoric to ease his people into the idea and appeal of war. While some outside the village might view him as an up and coming warmonger, the fact is he is driven by his land lacking resources for a growing population and the fact is, other villages were unlikely to simply help.

When put at a negotiation table, his true nature is very apparent with no attempts to hide it: He is a cold pragmatist that cares for nothing but the prosperity of his own people, no matter the cost. If you're a threat, he will crush you, if you're willing to help, he will welcome you and if you have something he needs but won't share it, he will take it. That said though he isn't entirely unreasonable and is happy to take a peaceful route so long as it satisfies the need of his people.

General Fighting Style: Zankoku is a definitive master of puppets, having something for just about any situation and while he prefers to have his puppets do the majority of the fighting for him, he isn't above putting someone down in the dirt personally either rather that be by trap, hidden weapon or the more classic ninjutsu. Overall he is rather aggressive and isn't the kind of person to concern himself with collateral damage or causalities, though he will happily tend to the wounded himself.
