Its vision can penetrate through any solid objects or obstructions, and likewise remains unaffected by blinding interference, though certain barriers may distort the Byakugan's perception. The Byakugan is able to follow high-speed movements, which allows the wielder to analyze their opponent's actions, and allows the user to predict and better react to them The Byakugan is able to see chakra to a higher degree than the Sharingan, such as identifying where a person's chakra signature originates from. It can discern certain types of clones from the real person. Its ability to see chakra is acute enough to see the chakra pathway system and the 361 tenketsu that run along it. The Hyūga have devised a fighting style known as the Gentle Fist to take advantage of this ability, wherein they strike an opponent's tenketsu to either seal or forcibly open them, thus giving the user complete control over their opponent's chakra. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalize the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. Other elements or substances can be used instead to distract the opponent. Jutsu Name: Leaf Gale Jutsu Type: Taijutsu Jutsu Element: None Jutsu Rank: D Jutsu Description: The user delivers a spinning low kick from behind, throwing the target off balance. Because of the kick's speed and how it's delivered, targets are unlikely to be able to defend against it. Jutsu Name: Leaf Whirlwind Jutsu Type: Taijutsu Jutsu Element: None Jutsu Rank: D Jutsu Description: The user delivers a series of high and low kicks, each of which is fast enough that even the Sharingan can't react to them. Earth Release Jutsu Name: Earth Release: Rock Pillar Prison Technique Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Element: Earth Jutsu Rank: C Jutsu Description: A technique that makes use of the rock terrain by creating multiple rock pillars that emerge from beneath the target and trap them. Jutsu Name: Earth Release: Headhunter Jutsu Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Element: Earth Jutsu Rank: D, Supplementary Jutsu Description: While lurking underground, the user grabs a target and drags them into the earth, leaving only their head above the surface. Because victims are rendered unable to move in this state, they are easily subjected to torture or decapitation. Jutsu Name: Earth Release: Tunnelling Technique Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Element: Earth Jutsu Rank: D, Supplementary Jutsu Description: This is a technique that allows the user to create tunnels in the ground, which can be used for infiltration purposes. Hyuuga Hiden Jutsu Name: Eight Trigrams: Air Palm Jutsu Type: Taijutsu Jutsu Element: N/A Jutsu Rank: C Jutsu Description: The user precisely pinpoints the enemy's vital points with the Byakugan and releases a high-speed palm thrust. A "vacuum shell" compressed using Jūken is formed to attack the opponent's vitals from a distance, blowing them off their feet with tremendous force before they even notice they were hit. Jutsu Name: Eight Trigrams: Thirty Two Palms Jutsu Type: Taijutsu Jutsu Element: N/A Jutsu Rank: C Jutsu Description: A Jūken manoeuvre. It is essentially a halved version of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, but seems to be no less effective. This technique is used to close off the flow of chakra through thirty-two chakra points of an opponent's chakra pathway system. This eliminates their ability to use chakra for quite some time and makes it difficult for them to move. Jutsu Name: Eight Trigrams: Palm Rotation Jutsu Type: Taijutsu Jutsu Element: N/A Jutsu Rank: C Jutsu Description: The moment before the Hyūga is struck by an attack, they emit chakra from all of their body's tenketsu to block it. They then spin rapidly, repelling the attack (and anything else in the vicinity) away and creating a protective shield for as long as they continue to spin. The greater the force of an attack, the greater the force with which it's repelled. |
