Yume has become quite grounded in her ways, since starting as a member of Konohagakure's ANBU. She has become much more calm and capable of collecting her thoughts, however it is still obvious that she is processing some dark trauma. Her time in the sound village still sits with her and isn't so easily shaken away. However, she has come to want more from her life than being locked away. Yume has finally become a member of the normal Konoha populace and finds enjoyment in discovering new things. She follows every order she is given and treats everyone with the same opportunity to prove themselves. Chunin: Yume is a rather cheerful looking girl always sporting her signature side braid and a rather crazy scar across the center of her face. Although she is also completely blind, it wouldn’t be noticeable, unless someone asked. In the case of blindness, Yume is able to rely solely on the sounds of those around her and echolocation to the point that it hardly matters that she is blind. Height: 5'4" Weight: 115lbs Combat Profile General Fighting Style: Yume is highly flexible and acrobatic with her style consisting of taijutsu for the most part. Her body bends and flexes as if she had been practicing for quite some time to condition the many different areas. Up her sleeve, she does seem to have a few tricks, such as a few of the Eight Gates, perhaps. Elemental Affinity: Wind, Earth, and Sound Weapons/Ninja Tools: A few kunai and some shuriken Past Profile History: Genin: Evil genin gril from Sound Land Chunin: Once just an evil genin gril, Yume was forced to fight for the land of sound. She had been placed on a team of specialized individuals with particularly unique styles of combat utilizing sound. They had been trained since young children and were essentially converted into mercenaries for the land of sound’s will. They had been sent to murder in cold blood and had been desensitized to the feeling of guilt. The world became a toy to them as the did what they were sculpted to do. Their efforts were greeted with praise and every completed mission was another life lost. However, this also came with its downsides as they were punished for their failures. Usually, their punishments were cruel and resulted in suffering. This was one of the reasons Yume received such a harsh scar across her face as Masahiro, her former teammate, warned her never to fail the land of sound again. The team was sent to the Chunin exams as an attempt to thin the current year’s group of genin. Sadly, this plan resulted in a few deaths, at the hands of Masahiro. Yume was due to fight one of the strongest genin, however she failed in her task. She lost and her life was threatened. Thankfully, the genin from the land of fire saved her life and gave her a second chance. She was free from the clutches of the sound village, but she wasn’t free from her troubled mind. For her miraculous display in the chunin exams, Yume was granted the rank of chunin in Konohagakure. However, her year-long road to success and rehabilitation would be hard. She attended to her duties as she was watched every moment of every day. For a while after, she would find herself locked in the ANBU compound incapable of leaving, yet feeling content in her lonely disposition. She figured that if she followed the rules, the Leaf would come to accept her as an ally as thanks for saving her life. However, it seemed that trouble with the Sound and speaking to her younger brother at the exams were ground for her execution. In the end, she was saved and set out on a journey to find her purpose in life. However, she has since been returned to her home and she doesn't take a single moment for granted. Side Note: She is blind, however Yume has the power of echolocation to be able to see those and the area around her. Yume can emit sound waves and use the echoes that return from various objects to locate and identify the objects. Alternatively, she can use ambient sounds to do the same. Since this ability isn't based on sight/light, Invisibility is useless against it, as are most forms of Camouflage. |
