Personality: Soma is a relatively quiet kid who was raised to be something of a weapon for the village. As such, he was trained to suppress his emotions from a young age and to deal with the constant mental battle that is being waged by the Ichibi. Because of this, he is often seen as quiet and reserved, when in reality, he is simply cold and calculative. He looks at things with a cold rational mind that looks at things as pragmatically as possible. While he keeps a tight leash on his emotions, his mind is heavily fractured due to not only the trauma of housing an insane bijuu inside of him, but the intensity of his training.

Physical Profile

Appearance: Soma is a lanky kid with light brown eyes and white hair. He often wears loose fitting, dark clothes befitting a shinobi. His face is usually resting in an apathetic stare that shows nothing of what is going on in his mind. He often is seen with bags under his eyes since he is unable to sleep due to the Ichibi's constant ranting in his mind. He wears a black haori over his clothes with red trim at the bottom and the kanji for desert embroidered on his back.

Combat Profile

General Fighting Style: His general fighting style is comprised of allowing his natural dominion over sand to guide him to victory. He has naturally gained a trust of his autonomous defense and its protective bubble that forms around him, but he was also trained in generic taijutsu as a part of his initial training coming up. He can fight in a taijutsu, shurikenjutsu or kenjutsu form to some degree, but he much prefers ranged attacks using ninjutsu.

Past Profile

History: On the day he was born, Soma was already destined for a hard life as his mother and only living relative died in childbirth. He was then selected to become the next host of the Ichibi due to his unusually dense chakra for a child of his age. From there, he was raised to the age of four in a secure facility where he enjoyed life as normally as a living WMD could. But from his fourth birthday onwards, he was immediately thrust into shinobi training. Learning the general workings of the village and shinobi rank structures, world history, taijutsu and weaponry and stealth tactics. By the time he was seven years old, he was put through mental training to help him control himself better and thus gain better control over the beast inside him. They had to restrain him a few times over the course of the training as Shukaku managed to slip through the seal some.

By the time he was ten, he was learning ninjutsu to cover his bases as well as more advanced battle tactics and leadership exercises. He learned to control his sand to a better degree and to maintain control of himself even under intense duress. At the age of twelve, he was placed into a class graduating from the academy to take the exam with those students and gain some social interactions with his peers. Most of the interactions he had were negative though, as he had little patience for what he considered children even if he was the same age as them. He passed with flying colors and was then placed in more intensive, individualized training for his last two years before being released to join into the regular ranks of shinobi.
