At first she just seems very doll-like in the way she will move and act, following orders,not stepping out of line etc. Etc. In truth Miyuki has always been very reserved and found if she just follows and fall in line then she is left alone and that means to be invisible and very much dead to the world. When one does get to know her they will find a quiet girl that is content to follow others and tag along if to preserve herself if necessary. She loves to be helpful if asked of her and expressing emotions and understanding such eludes her no matter how much she watches. When the previous Mizukage was in charge he rounded up a lot of street urchins claiming to anyone that asked that they were being given homes but in truth, she was amongst a few selected to experimentation of testing of sorts. The hell and brainwashing she endured to receiving and accepting the six tails to synchronize with her body when others failed was beyond success giving her a new purpose. Having Saiken in her gave her a sense of something other then nothing. She endured more training,exprimenting brainwashing gaining a bodyguard called Jinno to protect her and keep her secret a secret. It has been years it seem of training. Experimenting, testing etc. Before she was sent to the academy. She was to be a ordinary genin she was not allowed to be herself along with other things. During her academy years. Her only considered friend had became a said 'traitor' someone she was not allowed to see again. This confused her along with the feeling in her but quick change of subject distracted her being told of a change in gradusting, not having to do the final exam. The uprising was a strange familar thing to her seeing people die and not feeling anything even if the man that changed her life. She felt nothing towards his death. She just move forward to her room finding a familiar sword with a single note that read "Survive, Find yourself, Please return this to me when you find yourself Miyu."
