Clan History

History: The Amefuru Clan is a clan of weaponsmiths that have been arming the Mist Village with their wares and contributing to the army with their wielders. Amefuru stands for "Loud Rainfall," which symbolizes the land's constant rainy weather but also the sound of hammer upon metal which can be heard throughout the day. The males of the clan from an early age are brought to the smithy, taught to learn how to forge blades and weapons. The end goal being that they will eventually forge their masterpiece weapon, a weapon that they can wield to its utmost potential. A weapon that has their soul within it so to speak. This peerless weapon is to be the work that defines your life so tends to be left as a grave marker upon the wielder's death.

Only one weapon transcends this ideology, and that is the Regalia of the Amefuru Clan, the Shibuki. The Exploding Tag Sword was created as a weapon to transcend any other weapon to ever be created. The weapon that was a combination of ninjutsu and weapon mastery. The Shibuki within the clan is sought to always have a wielder and every generation will have individuals to strive to be the wielder.

Women within the Amefuru have a unique role. The clan does not see females fit to be weaponsmiths as they do not possess the strength or tenacity required to stay within the forges all day. However, besides tending to the village, they are also wielders of weapons. Every member within the Amefuru know how to fight.
