 The Shinobi Profile General Information Name: Mei Kazusa Clan:Kazusa Alias/Bingo Book: Sand Guardian Age: 18 Gender: Female Personality: Mei is the type of girl that doesn't take anything from anyone and isn't afraid to throw a punch or two, if need be. She's quite playful and enjoys teasing others. However, she is also perceived as very interesting, since she seems to see the world through rose colored glasses. There is always a rather wide smile upon her features, even when faced with stressful situations. It seems as though Mei takes most things lightly, which can come as a weakness on her part. This is also the main reason she is always in trouble with her clan. Nonetheless, she is always genuine and that comes as one of her greatest strengths. On the other hand, Mei is extremely loyal to those who would align themselves with those that come from the previous sand village. She also is very grateful to the dust village and will attempt to protect her new home at all costs. She would do anything in her power to help those in need and she certainly lives up to the name she had been given at the time she was branded a genin. Above all, her most treasured friends are ones that she would protect with her life over anything else. However, not having much to keep her going forward, she finds herself lost in a sea of apathy most days. Loyalty: Sunagakure Natives, Chirigakure Rank: Jounin Occupation: Ninja. Gate Guard. Village: Chirigakure (Dust) Physical Profile Appearance:  Height: 5'1” Weight: 110lbs Combat Profile General Fighting Style: Mei has a unique fighting style considering her affinity for magnet release. Mei has been known to carry a large scroll into battle containing a large number of Shuriken that she can then manipulate through her magnet release. She is also able to manipulate sand through the use of these techniques utilizing her custom sheath to her advantage. Its outer appearance tricks her opponents into believing it is a normal katana, until it is unsheathed. The sheath creates golden sand for her to manipulate at will and will continue to supply her with more allowing her to continue battling without fear of running out. Its versatility is only as helpful as her imagination. Elemental Affinity: Wind and Earth (Magnet Release) Weapons/Ninja Tools: -Summoning Scroll with Shuriken inside -Koya -Kunai Past Profile  History: Mei was born in the village of Sunagakure at a time when it was independent and the world was a free for all. Villages attacked each other and there was no peace to be heard of. It had been like that for some time and would continue to stay that way on the decline. Of course, she would inherit the ability of her family that had been passed down for generations, so she could become the next protector of the village. One day, she may have had to fight off Shukaku like her ancestors prophesied. Of course being at a time of war consistently, her parents had no choice but to take on dangerous missions. In the end, they didn’t make it, leaving Mei to be a rather shut in child. Shortly after, the village fell into chaos as they were forced to join the Storm Empire. This would only make her bitter and angry inside. Her uncle had become the head of the clan as he rightfully should have and he was forced to take up adoption of Mei, which only made her more bitter. Nonetheless, she did what he told her to do with the most resistance possible, especially when he sent her to the academy. She didn’t get along with the other kids, the teachers, or her own family. Everyone believed her to be a lost cause, but they continued to work with her. After many trials and a failure in the academy, Mei was met with a teacher that wouldn’t take her attitude lightly. She taught her in a way that she knew best and that was through combative measures. No matter how many times she tried, Mei couldn’t beat her, but she managed to grow stronger. Through the use of this method, she was able to bond with the woman and managed to learn to control her emotions. In the end, she had become a stellar kunoichi and had much to be thankful for. However, she had come to the realization that she had no purpose in her life. She wasn’t able to protect a village that she was no longer a part of. She didn’t have any family that she cared about and she certainly didn’t have many friends either. Still, that didn’t mean that she didn’t enjoy the company of the people she worked with. Eventually, she would accept her place and continue living on in her own, new place of residence. However, she was simply going through the motions and didn’t find even a glimpse of happiness in her day to day routine. Side Note: She's pretty cool tho. While spending her time as a genin, it was obvious that the village was not going to survive on its own and was forced to merge with the storm empire that had already taken in other villages. They had all been at war, but were now forced to work together. Mei wasn’t bitter about it, but now she struggled to find a purpose. She wasn’t able to protect a village that she was no longer a part of. It was gone and she was forced to make home in a new place. It was devastating, but she would manage to do just fine. Eventually, she would accept her place and continue living on in her new place of residence. However, she was simply going through the motions and didn’t find even a glimpse of happiness in her day to day routine. Then, something miraculous would happen to her.
A small, interesting little creature would find its way into her sights as she stood watch over the gates of the village. At first, she believed him to be some sort of pet only to come to the realization that he was not. What was he? He was some sort of humanoid crocodile, but he was so small and seemed so fragile. He had nowhere to go and no home of his own. So, she took him in and begged for her uncle to allow him a place in their home. He would finally agree and the rest was history. He quickly became someone special to her and gave her a new purpose in life. To this day, she would protect him with her life.
