The Hōzuki Clan (鬼灯一族, Hōzuki Ichizoku) is a group of ninja that settled in Kirigakure after the ending of the Warring States Period. Members of this clan possess the ability to turn their bodies into a liquid state using their Hydrification Technique. This however, seems to require that they stay well hydrated at all times and as such, at least two known members are known to carry water bottles around with them.

Secret Jutsu Description:
Hydrification Technique: This jutsu, a hallmark of the Hōzuki clan, allows the user to liquefy any part of their body at will, from the hair on their head to the muscles in their arms. When the user is struck by a physical attack, the impacted area becomes liquid, causing the attack to pass through them and leave them unharmed. The user then solidifies back into their original form.

Jutsu Description: By putting the Hydrification Technique into practical use, the muscles of the arm are temporarily enlarged and strengthened. Moisture is gathered from the whole body and compressed into the entire arm, like an instant pump-up. However, because it is essential to properly control the moisture balance inside the body, this technique's degree of difficulty is very high. The technique gives the user superhuman strength, capable of breaking through both rock walls and steel doors with ease.

Jutsu Description: After using his Hydrification Technique to merge with a water source, the user can form a giant wave that resembles a demon-like fish. The user can use this form to battle larger opponents, or he can use it to shield allies from attack. Though it was strong enough to physically push back Killer B in his Tailed Beast Mode, it was not strong enough to withstand a point-blank range Tailed Beast Ball, and rendered Suigetsu unconscious soon afterwards, causing him to fall into a jelly-like state.
