Kekkei Genkai Description: Members of the Shōten clan are empowered by combat. The longer they are in combat, the stronger and faster they become. This adaptation allows even a child of the clan to become as powerful as a normal adult ninja if they are able to battle for long enough. This process is due to the special chakra of the clan intermingling with their adrenal glands, thus, as they enter combat, their adrenaline sends a surge of natural power and a chakra boost to all of their muscles and senses.

Clan History

History: The Shoten clan is one that dates back to the time before the Sage of Six Paths spread his teachings of Ninshu and gave rise to Ninjutsu as it is known today. In its early years, the clan was known to be one of great power, but very monk-like teachings. This slowly changed as the ways of shinobi slowly encroached upon the clans teachings. After a while, one of their members even became a ninja. It was this member, Goken, that led the way for the reformation of the clan. Goken pushed for them to become less traditional and allow themselves to truly become a part of the world that they live in as opposed to hiding in a monastery on a hill. Eventually, Goken passed his title as head of the clan to his own son who managed to defeat him in combat, in keeping with tradition. Eventually, the title was passed down to Akira Shōten, where it still resides today.
