Kekkai Genkai Description:
Araki no Kenjutsu is a specialized technique developed by the Araki Clan Samurai. The Araki Clan’s swordsmiths and the wielders craft weapons called Falsehoods of the Samurai’s Will. The wielder activates their true Samurai’s Will by transforming their Falsehood Blade into its true state, which will take the shape of their birth chakra nature. Those who transform their blades into their true state must use the Araki no Kenjutsu: True Invocation or Sword’s Awakening Technique to unlock the potential of their blades.

In some cases, the Araki clan will lose heart or lose themselves in the loss of their loved ones, and those won’t be able to invoke their true Samurai’s Will in their blade. As Samurai, people must steel themselves from loss and focus on their sword and Kenjutsu techniques. Those who master these techniques can make others feel their presence on the battlefield through their falsehood blades and the blade’s true form.

Jutsu Name: Araki no Kenjutsu: True Invocation or Sword's Awakening Technique

Jutsu Description: The user speaks their swords' true name, which will cause the sword to awaken. Depending on the user’s chakra nature at birth, it’ll determine the weapon’s true form. As long as they don’t lose themselves or fall from the Samurai’s ways, they will always be able to invoke their weapon’s true name. The user gains a chakra shell surrounding them, which increases their presence and makes people understand how serious they can be in a fight. A significant portion amplifies the killing intent of the user. The user must use the chakra shell in their other Araki no Kenjutsu techniques to deliver long-ranged sword slashes or increase the potency of their sword’s cutting potential.

The Araki clan’s Samurai Will in the form of a Chakra Shell is limited by how many techniques it can use before the True State of the Blade reverts back to its Falsehood. D-Rank Technique takes the utmost ten uses to take all the power of the Chakra Shell. C-Rank Technique takes eight uses to take all the power of the Chakra Shell. B-Rank Technique takes four uses to take all the power of the Chakra Shell. A-Rank Technique takes two uses to take all the power of the Chakra Shell. The Araki Clan’s only S-Rank Technique takes a singular use to drain all of the Chakra Shell’s Energy. It would take a while before this technique can be used again.

True Invocation or Sword’s Awakening can only be used by false-named weapons crafted by the Araki Clan. Those false-named weapons have a true name, which was given to them by the wielder of it. Any Katana crafted with Motzkatzi or Hotzkatzi, etc. Motzkatzi and Hotzkatzi are classified as Falsehoods since they are the false form of what the true state is within the wielder’s soul.

Jutsu Description: The wielder of their blade can cause the Chakra shell to cover their blade. The true state of the weapon gains an extended reach by an additional three inches, and it’ll increase its sharpness too. It’ll make it easier for Araki clan members to wield a blade with an extended reach. It will decrease the Chakra shell’s potency while surrounding the wielder. True Invocation, or Sword’s Awakening Technique, is the basis for these other techniques.

Jutsu Name: Araki no Kenjutsu: Chakra Dual Katanas, Double Strike Technique

Jutsu Description: The wielder of their blade can cause the Chakra shell to create another Katana made entirely of their chakra. The true state of the blade stays the same, which is covered by the Chakra Shell too. Araki clan members use dual Katana style only for this singular technique. It will decrease the Chakra shell’s potency while surrounding the wielder more than the previous technique. The Chakra-made Katana only lasts for a singular strike per each use of the technique. True Invocation, or Sword’s Awakening Technique, is the basis for these other techniques.

Jutsu Name: Araki no Kenjutsu: Chakra Sword Deflection Barrier Technique

Jutsu Description: The wielder of their blade can cause the Chakra shell to cover their blade. Shifting the wielder’s stance will cause a Chakra Deflection Barrier to form in a 45-degree arc in front. The technique will consume half of the Chakra Shell surrounding the wielder to form the barrier. Projectile-Type attacks are usually deflected, which aren’t chakra-based projectiles. True Invocation, or Sword’s Awakening Technique, is the basis for these other techniques.

Jutsu Description: The wielder of their blade can cause the Chakra shell to cover their blade. Swinging the sword in any motion will release their chakra nature in a sword wave slash. The technique will consume the entirety or what’s left of the Chakra Shell that surrounds the wielder. The power is determined by how much chakra is left surrounding the wielder by their Chakra shell. However, it is still a potent attack besides the power behind the Samurai who use their techniques in this way. True Invocation, or Sword’s Awakening Technique, is the basis for these other techniques.

Clan History

History: The Araki clan has a long, storied history within Iron Country, as they have always had two different clan heads. Their Swordspeaker and Sword-Saints, all come from an honorable lineage of three hundred years. Out of every Araki Clan member, Serena Araki and her brother Syuuma Araki impressed the prestigious Shogun three hundred years ago. Three visits within ten years with the Shogun allowed them to build Tagashikushira, the Fortress City of Araki. Those who impressed the Shogun were allowed a place to protect Iron Country’s Capital City. The Iron country deals with threats within their borders by fighting the Oni and deals with other countries shinobi that are hostile to neutrality. Those ninjas who created their villages in their lands were to stop the many clan wars in those countries.

The Araki Clan had elevated themselves to prominent status as a great clan within Iron Country because their mercenary bands are usually second to none. Also, wear a necklace to show reverence to your family members and whatnot. Whenever a clan member discards their clan necklace in anger or disappointment, they are branded a traitor and banished. All because you’ve done something out of love for another person that isn’t within the clan. The Clan Traditions in the Araki Clan is you must have a wife and two concubines. The Two concubines are from the branch family in the Araki clan, which supports the primary branch, which was created by Serena and Syuuma many years ago. It is to keep the main branch in power while so many second-branch clan members support the main branch. Usually, the only ones with families are the Swordspeaker and the Sword-Saint, who typically have to retire from their position before they are allowed to marry whoever they choose as their wife and concubines.

The Araki Clan had many Swordspeakers and Sword-Saints as their political and military clan heads as time passed. Those who were the latest ones in charge lost the bid to become the Shogun for the Iron Country because of Diluviante Yamamoto. The Araki Clan members weren’t angry at their loss, but they were humbled at seeing a different kind of leader compared to the royal bloodline that used to run the Iron Country. They have great things to say about Diluviante Yamamoto, even if he controls Yukigakure Village too. He wants a change in many things, specifically no more wars, which is a good cause.

The Araki clan has many responsibilities for the citizens that live in their fortress city and anywhere within the Shogun’s reach. Mysterious deaths were happening in Tagashikushira, the Fortress City, by a woman who hated everything. Her name is Salashika Nara. The Araki Clan kept an eye on Salashika’s movements in Iron Country. Shichiro and Wahei’s mother was murdered by Salashika’s terror that she was spreading across Tagashikushira. Shikakura helped Shichiro gain vengeance by telling him precisely where Salashika was hiding. It was love at first sight when he met Shikakura Nara, and he knew what he wanted to do, and that was not to follow in the clan’s footsteps. He only wanted a singular woman as his wife and nothing else, no concubines from the branch family or anything.

Shichiro had to wait until an incident called Dishonoring the Dead, specifically his biological father, Syuusei, dishonored his wife and Shichiro’s mother, Juria. It angered him enough that he ripped off his necklace and left with Shikakura to go back to where Shikakura lived, a long trek from Tagashikushira to Konohagakure Village. A Samurai going to a Ninja Village is unheard of, but Shichiro made the trek because he loved and had the right because of the clan’s tradition. The tradition is called the Spoils of Vengeance. If a Samurai from the Araki clan kills a person for vengeance for a loved one dying, they can get the spoils of dealing with those who murdered their loved one. They have the right to do whatever they want, and no one in the Araki clan can take their spoils away.

Shichiro won the right to allow Shikakura to live from his Spoils of Vengeance victory over Salashika. It is why he made the trek back to the home she had missed for over four years. It took them at most two years to make it back to Konohagakure Village. It helped that Shikakura made it quicker since she had a great sense of direction from the Iron Country back to Konohagakure Village.

Wahei was displeased with his father’s comments about his mother, but he was trained by his father to become the Sword Saint of the Araki Clan. Everyone in the Araki Clan was quite displeased with the news of Shichiro’s Self-Exile and being called a Traitor/Banishment. However, they can see where Syuusei was coming from, but he didn’t have to take it out on the dead. He should be taking it out on the one who killed his wife.

Out of all the Sword-Saints in the Araki Clan, Wahei Araki is one of the first Sword-Saints that have done the unthinkable, he is the youngest Sword-Saint, and he leads the Silver Blades Mercenary Band. He was a Kenjutsu Prodigy and had the charisma to back it up, even if he did write riddles in his letters to confuse people. Wahei became a Sword Saint at 16 years old, but Wahei kept improving himself throughout the time that Wahei Araki and his brother hadn’t met up again. As of now, he has an additional 13 years of being a sword saint. Wahei had a slight problem, and Wahei Araki needed to go to Konohagakure Village, where Shichiro and his family were still. Whenever their meeting happens, he’ll see how good Shichiro’s child is by testing her in the way of the Samurai and the Ninja.

Shichiro Araki freed Shikakura Nara from her mother by quickly ending that monster’s life, and by the rights of the Araki Clan, whatever you kill, you decide to do with what you want with their children or clan. He chose to marry Shikakura Nara after she told him who murdered his mother, Juria Araki. She died at 34 but had a much longer life to live with Syuusei and them. He was only 16 years old at the time, and Shikakura was only 15. He could tell how much Shikakura was hurting from how evil Salashika was.]

The Araki Clan has never suffered a clan member be banished for their reasons of falling in love with a Shinobi over sticking with their honored traditions. However, since Shichiro Araki broke honored traditions, the Araki Clan has been upset by this betrayal.
