 The Shinobi Profile General Information Name: Jinnosuke Moriyama Clan: Moriyama Alias/Bingo book name: The Divine Hand Age: 23 (25 post chuu chuu?) Gender: Male Personality: Jinnosuke is a kind young man first and foremost, despite his upbringing he managed to keep a firm grip on his humanity and grew ever more distasteful for the actions of his comrades. He would help those who couldn't protect themselves, in his earlier years simply using his name as a shield. The injustices that the Empire were comitting against the citizens who lived within it sickened Jinno to the point he had to leave, unable to make the changes required. He considers it a point of failure but one that he doesn't intend on repeating. He strives for good, and tries to keep things light whenever possible. He is known to be a good friend, with seemingly endless patience and a willingness to talk out just about any problem. Even if the person he might be talking to is actively attempting to kill him. While this has gotten him into trouble in the past, he finds it generally works out alright. Jinno finds it hard to stay in one place, often needing to travel. As understanding as his wife might be, he does try and make up for it by generally being a pretty good dad. Stemming from a need to ensure that his own children never had to live with the kind of man he grew up with. A clever and well read man, Jinno was given excellent schooling with the expectation that he would one day take over his Father's rule. While this wouldn't come to pass, he did keep this knowledge burned into his memory. This more refined side, often towned down to suit a crowd gives him a effortless charm to most. While he had never really wanted the throne, his new home has become a source of political intrige and a chance to make a difference for the better, should be play his cards right. He is a dependable and capable leader, compassionate and often overgenerous with any of the samurai who decide to follow his Red Cloaks. He has a mind for military strategy from the overarching design of war to single battles. In combat he tends to hold back unless there is some sort of serious stakes involved. He rarely finds reasons to put his full skillset to the test. However, while his general attitude might betray a certain naivety, the young scion has proven to be more shrewd than he lets on. Height: Weight: Combat Profile General Fighting Style: Jinno is primarly a swordsman, renowned for his ability with the blade. Relatively straightforward but with technique refined to perfection. This, mixed with his expansive physical strength and speed make for a tough opponent. With years of battle experience behind his belt, and a near constant life of conflict, he has almost preternatural senses for combat. He carries paired blades, the Moriyama family blade that he stole from the Emperor when he fled the Land of Storms and one forged from the meteoric iron collected from the highest mountain peak in the Land of Iron. The second blade is rarely used. Elemental Affinity: Lighting Weapons/Ninja Tools: - Moriyama family katana - Neato meteoric iron katana - That's about it Past Profile History: - Born to Emperor Moriyama as one of his last sons - Turned out to be quite a skilled young chap, earned his title as heir early on. - Began being a good lad, which annoyed the Emperor - Eventually openly defied during a low-caste graduation event, interceding on behalf of Suzume Yuki. - This lead to the eventual attempt to recruit him to the Seven Swordsmen, when he denied this request he would duel and behand the leader, humiliating him before leaving the country. - Moved north to the Land of Iron, earned a living doing mercenary work. - His talents earned the notice of the Emperor at the time, Yoshito Nishioka. By giving the homeless prince a place to stay he earned a loyal warrior. - Unfortunately for Yoshito, Jinno hit it off with his daughter and currently only living heir, Masumi. - While originally forbidding this relationship, Jinnosuke was insistant and was given a task. Conquer the mountain, earn the Sword Saint title. Something an outsider had never manager. - Did the thing, came back to a defeated Emperor who decided that bringing in such a strong fighter into the family wasn't the worst. Masumi and Jinno would marry, and have their first child not long after. - With the money he had managed to scrounge up during his travels, Jinno was able to create a new mercenary band. The Red Cloaks. - Eventually returned to the shinobi world on a false mission in an attempt to lead him into the war on the Empire's side. - Figured this out quickly, met Akira and eventually killed the Amekage who had gone mad during the end of his tenure. This was shortly following a large attack on the Land of Rain. - Continued to assist the war effort on the rebellions side, eventually returning to the Land of Water and his home. - Following the war, he returned to the Land of Iron. Leaving his younger sister in Suzume's care. In fear that his name might attact loyalists, while Suzume would be scaring them away. - He came to regret this decision in the following chuunin exams, where he interceded to take little Keiko home to join a new family. - Leading a mission into the frozen north, to fight against the mountain clans and their new Empire Loyalist allies.
