Personality: Arashi Hoshigaki is the leader of the Seven Swordsmen and Head of the Hoshigaki Clan. Large, strong, and a master of the weapon Samehada, Arashi dominates on the battlefield through a combination of effortless grace and sheer brutality. Despite his massive physique and brutally predatory mentality, Arashi is well-known for being a little goofy every now and again. Like many members of the Hoshigaki Clan, he speaks in a distinct surfer-bro accent at all times. Finally, Arashi secretly holds kunoichi, and women in general, in contempt.

He does not believe they make good leaders (too emotional) and that shinobi will always outclass kunoichi. Hence why when choosing between promoting a shinobi and kunoichi of equal skill level he will always choose the shinobi. The few female clan leaders that Arashi has to deal with due to there being no other appropriate candidate he treats with passive dismissal, making it clear he sees them as beneath him. He buys very much into the ideal that "Might Makes Right" and therefore sees the current Arashikage as a rare exception, not a rule. This isn't to say he hates women, far from it. One of his roommates and closest friends is a woman, after all. He just sees her as more of a younger sister that needs to be protected, rather than as a warrior and equal.
